This is the last Dos version of AW before the windows version came out. It is just over 11Mb in size and contains all the art for the planes and some films as well. Unzip the archive and then click on the exe program, this will uncompress the main aw files into the folder it is in. Before running the program you have to set up your joystick, you are told how to do this in the text files that you'll find in the folder. With this version you can fly with up to 10 drone planes of your choosing, with 3 settings on how hard you want them to be, also supports H2H over modems.

Catch Up scans your hard disk for plug-ins and applications, then generates a customised list of updates to your software, including download sites, and then helps you update them when necessary.

If your into HTML or lots of TXT editing then this is the program for you. At over 640Kb in size it is a lot larger than Notepad but this is made up for elsewhere. Multiple files can be opened up inside (each file having a tab for easy access) and "find and replace" used across all of them, MAPI support, block functions, a toolbar that can be hidden, and loads more stuff. I used to be strickly a Notepad man, but after seeing Editpad i've been converted <G>
Please note that this program is "Postcardware". That is, if you decide to keep using it then you must send the author a postcard.

Every wanted to change the Start button to something else other than Windows one? Well now you can with this nifty little free program by Jeff Epstein. This program isn't as powerful as the one Winzip at the bottom, but can still uncompress Zip archives, and what's more it's free :)

MODs date back to the pre-Windows Dos days and have been available on the Net for years. A quick search will uncover hundreds of MOD sites.
The MODs are music files which can be embedded in a Web page much like Midi files, the only thing is the quality of a MOD file doesn't depend on the quality of your soundcard.
The free MOD plug-in enables you to play MOD files on-line or off-line from within your browser.

This free program is another of my favs as it allows you to scan your hard disk for any type of pictures, gifs, jpgs, bmps, pngs etc, and have them become your wallpaper which you can have change automactically depending on the time you set. Another good feature is being able to hide your desktop icons.

This is a Dos shareware program that allows you to capture a picture of the screen. 148Kb in size, this works with just about every Dos game or window, a text file is included that lists a lot of the games and the settings for them.

WOOHOO ;) nah it's not what you think lol This little beauty of a free program allows you to cut holes in folder/program windows to get to things underneath. Cool and fun to play with for 15 minutes.

Just like the one above but there are no sheep to be seen. Instead we have an ornage with small arms and legs :)

A screensaver where sheep bouce about the screen getting higher and higher. On reaching a certain height they explode next time they hit the ground lol

Winzip version 7 is a shareware program that is great for compressing files or for uncompressing Zip archives. You can also make stand alone exe files with it so you can send compressed files to someone with out Winzip.
AOL users please note that you don't need Winzip to uncompress Zip files that you've download as (if your settings are correct) the AOL program will do it for you when you sign off.
