Welcome to the The NFL Squadrons Homepage

This is (a better word would be was, as the NFL dispanded a couple of years back, only a few still flew under the name) the homepage for the NFL Squadron. One of, if not thee, best squads in the whole of RR. Even if we are down to just a few pilots <wg> Along with our fellow Cz, we really kick a$$ on Sunday night, which happens to be our squad night. When we get together with other squadrons to fly missions, it is not unusual to see over 30 little green squares in one sector.

Within this site you'll find lots of useful things, like links, files (including flying themed wallpapers), information on and about the game Air Warrior, maps for the different arenas, plus interesting air combat tactics.

Yes combat tactics are a must to learn. If you're not on an enemys six, they're probably on yours. Shooting someone in the back is quite acceptable here lol shooting at someone in a H2H situation and you'll get called all sorts of rude things ;)

AW version 3.5 will be out shortly with some minor updates, the best of which i reckon is for a bomber pilot to be able to jump into a gunners seat to help shoot at enemy planes :) When will AW be released with the new (jet age) engine i hear you ask, i've got no idea, probably 2 weeks ;)

Sigh.... 2 years may not be a long time, but on the internet it's more like 2 minutes. A quick summary for those that are new. EA bought GS and AWMV moved to EA, GS closed its door, EA closed the doors on AW December 2001. For those that are lucky enough to still have the AWMV downloaded files, you can still fly offline missions and/or create your own in the editor, but that's about it. No more AW until someone buys it off EA and starts it up again, which by then it'll be so out of date compared with the other online flightsims.

I was (still am) very attached to Air Warrior. It was one of the few games (ok 2, the other is Delta Force) that i played regularly and enjoyed and although i never (couldn't due to EA's stupid launcher software) played it the last year, i still have the urge, which i doubt will never go away. Bring back AW4W, that's what i say ;)

I'm attached to this website as well, changed its looks over the years, but i settled on this simple design. The account that this was hosted on (a free one) was deleted as i hadn't used it for so long lol so i've uploaded it back on to my paid account where it was originally and where it'll stay until something bad happens ;)
